| Congratulations.....to me? | ||
 Congratulations...to me!? I never have been one for saying "Hey, look at me?" I guess that is why I prefer to be behind the camera. But they say I am supposed to let people know when I do something kind of cool....like win an award or something. So here is the story. Every year in July our local professional photographers association, the Northwest Section of the Florida Professional Photographers, hold an annual Salon, print competition. The competition was judged by the current President of the Florida Professional Photographers association and two former Presidents. There are various categories including portraits, weddings, commercial, and illustrative. They also award two top awards. The Charlie Wise Memorial award for the Best First Time Entry (which I actually one in 2004) and the Ray Malinowski Memorial award for the Best Salon Print (this is the big one....you know the photographer of the year kind of thing). Anyway I won it this year. It was really cool! The image entitled "Dodge and Burn" also won First Place in the Illustrative Open category as well as Best of Show in the Illustrative division. (Update: Dodge and Burn also won an Merit Print award at the FPP State Salon competition in Orlando in August ) I also had another winner an honor print in the Portrait of a Child category for "He Loves Me." | Facebook/Myspace Special | ||

We are excited to announce our new Facebook/Myspace special offer! It is a different kind of promotion for today's teens. It features a lower session fee per subject and free images for the teen's Facbook and/or Myspace pages.....or both if they keep up with both. Here is how is works... Session Fee is only $25.00 per teen subject (for up to 5 total Friends) We will have a great time laughing and posing and having fun for up to 2-3 hours. They will have the opportunity for multiple outfit changes as well as multiple backgrounds. Think of it as a mini-fashion shoot. It will be a lot of fun! Each Friend will get to choose five images for their Facebook and/or Myspace pages to share with all of their friends. The images will be fully retouched and will be similar to ones seen in the posts below, in our teen gallery, and our new Philip Nation Photography page on Facebook. In addition the parents will be able to take a 25% discount off of our regular prices to save even more. We are excited to tell you all about the new Philip Nation Photography page on Facebook. This new resource will provide us an additional area to post updates, new images, portrait specials, and our newest addition will be our contest. We are planning a variety of contest and specials to help meet the portrait needs of all of our clients.....from the newborn Babies to High School Seniors to Family Portraits. In fact there is a contest going on now....but you have to go to the new Philip Nation Photography page on Facebook and sign up as a "Fan" to find out all of the details. Here are a few of the images that have been added to the teen gallery. These were taken during another one of our training sessions where we were teaching posing and lighting to an up and coming photographer. We have another training session scheduled for this weekend, so stop back by next week when we will be posting some images from that session.    |

| Update: New images and new prices | ||
|
We have lots of updates going on around here these days. First we have a lot of new images on the Seniors Gallery page, new images on the Teen Gallery page, and new images coming soon on the Children and Babies Gallery pages as well. We have also made a few changes to the way the larger images pop up over the existing gallery that you are viewing instead of going to a new page. I think it looks pretty cool.....be sure to let me know what you think of the new look. We also had to make some changes to our prices.....we hadn't done that in over two years so we made a few adjustments to our individual print prices and our collections on both our Senior Portrait Price list and our regular Price list. We will be offering some specials a little more frequently including our Senior Summer Special that will run from July 7th to August 31st. If you schedule your Senior Portrait Session during this time then you will receive a $50.00 discount off of your Senior Portrait Session Fee, plus you will receive an additional 16 wallets (of one pose) (which is a $70.00 value) free with the purchase of any of our Senior Collections. I just wanted to give a quick update to say CONGRATULATIONS!! to Miss Megan Mathews. She was recently crowned Miss MHS 2008! Way to go Megan! That makes two years in a row that one of our beautiful clients has won Miss MHS.......hmmmm makes you think doesn't it?  Where do you want to have YOUR Senior Portraits created? As you can see below we recently had the pleasure of creating some beautiful images of this lovely young lady. | New Senior Style | ||

We have been having fun in the studio these days updating our Senior Style images! The name of the game is fun. We laugh and play and make funny faces.....and of course create some great Senior images. This first set is just a few from a recent "Friends Group Session." Seniors from the class of 2008.....it is not too late to capture those memories of your awesome Senior year. We do have a few appointments left before school gets out. Seniors from the class of 2009......don't let this next year fly by and not have those memories you will want to cherish forever. Please let us know what you think. I wanted to post an update sharing some new information about payment options. I know that it has taken me awhile, but after many request I am pleased to announce that Philip Nation Photography is now set up to receive credit cards. We will be accepting Master Card, Visa, and Discover. We are happy to provide this method of payment for those who prefer to make their purchases that way. Now on to the new images. We have had a blast with several little ones lately. As you know I love the little tiny hands and feet. I think the hardest thing to decide is whether you want to choose the image in color or black and white. These are just a few from some recent baby plan sessions.      |
